frequently asked questions
I require a 50% deposit upon signing the contract. The remainder of the payment is due 2 weeks prior to the session for out-of-state sessions and 1 week prior to the the session for in-state sessions.
Where do I change?
Your car is likely going to be the best spot, but if we are near a public restroom or coffee shop, we can always stop inside for you to change.
How many photos will I receive?
I don't limit what I offer! There are specific minimum numbers set for each package, but oftentimes I will deliver more than that per gallery.
How will I receive my gallery?
All your edited photos will be uploaded to an online gallery where you can easily download to your device.
What is your turnaround time?
You will receive sneak peeks within 72 hours and your full gallery within 4 weeks. If you go with Package 3 there is an expedited turnaround time of 2 weeks.
How do we secure ice time?
I will look at rinks in your area and get in touch with the person at the arena who manages to schedule to see if we can get 30 to 60 minutes of private ice. Pricing of the private ice may vary. If you are not interested in paying for private ice, we can look at a freestyle or public session that isn't as crowded, but there is no guarantee that people will not be in the background of your photos if you opt for this route.
What makes the on ice photos different from a skating competition or ice show?
We have so much more time to capture the action photos that you want! In addition, I get on the ice with you so I can capture incredibly unique angles that you typically cannot get during a competition or ice show.
Do I need to prepare certain moves or poses in advance?
I recommend that skaters think about the types of moves they are good at and practice those a few times before the session. Field moves are great for photos ie. spirals, spread eagles, ina bauers, pretty much anything that you can hold and sustain for 6-8 seconds at a time. If you aren't entirely sure what you are good at, no worries! I come with lots of ideas for on ice photos.
